I am now a grandmother and when my daughter had her baby I realised that necklaces posed a problem as the child always grabbed onto it so I started making things strung on leather. 3 or 4 years later I have these for sale and have now branched out into other jewellery areas. The photos you see on my shop are of my grand daughter.
I also help support a school in India that provides funding for very poor families so that their children can attend the school, both girls and boys, so my profits will go there as they are doing a wonderful job. Not only are children able to attend school who would otherwise not be able to, but support is also sometimes available to help families when disaster strikes such as the death of a husband. One mother was funded to buy a sewing machine and is now able to support her family on her own where previously they were in dire poverty. Because this is a grass roots project it has a great deal of impact and success where it is needed using minimal funds.
